These premium linear luminaires featured a single 1 x 49W fluorescent lamp that delivered efficient direct and indirect lighting. Suspended 200mm from the ceiling, their configuration made a RESUS LED Module the ideal choice for an upgrade

The Clients Brief

As part of the general onsite lighting upgrade, this project was earmark for refurbishment because the high quality lights complimented the space and functioned well in the low ceiling environment. The sleek linear lines just needed a modern LED upgrade that improved the light quality, reduce energy consumption and reduced on going maintenance. 

The original products suffered from extensive UV degradation and required a complete overhaul. To achieve the highest quality result, we removed the fixtures from the site for a full factory refurbishment.

Through The REGEN Initiative, our team stripped out all internal electronic components and the UV damaged wiring. We then deeply cleaned the main body and polycarbonate diffusers before retrofitting them with high-efficiency RESUS LED modules and premium Liteplan emergency kits.

As you can see in the image, this conversion successfully restores the legacy product to a virtually brand-new state. Performance was also significantly upgraded:

  • Smart Optics: The 270° beam angle of the RESUS module delivers the perfect amount of indirect lighting without over-lighting the ceilings.
  • Massive Efficiency: Energy consumption dropped from 53W to just 25W, securing an immediate ~50% energy savings.

 

The final Result

Sleek, upgraded LED luminaires complement the compact space, creating fresh, evenly lit corridors and circulation areas. This project is a perfect example of a fully refurbished product continuing its life cycle without the need for recycling or replacement. It represents a fresh, modern, circular, and sustainable lighting solution
