A Sustainable Approach

Carbon Assessment

CIBSE TM65 is a methodology for calculating the embodied carbon of building services equipment. It provides a framework for assessing the greenhouse gas emissions associated with the entire lifecycle of a product, from raw material extraction to disposal. This includes manufacturing, transportation, installation, maintenance, repair, and end-of-life processes

The REGEN Initiative can provide a TM65 Carbon assessment report detailing  the carbon footprint of the existing product and  carbon comparisons - Remanufacturing of existing lighting verses new lighting replacements and the Carbon handprint - emission reductions achieved by adopting a  REGEN remanufacturing process.

A Circular Solution

Our world has a finite amount of resource.  Reusing existing luminaires by remanufacturing  and upgrading them to the latest LED technology helps move away from the linear take-make-dispose  model. By introducing the "Closed Loop" system where resources are kept in use for as long as possible we follow natures cycle promoting long-term environmental and economic benefits.

Reduce and Reuse for a more sustainable future.

The future of sustainable lighting lies in the widespread adoption of circular economy principles. Innovations in technology, such as smart lighting systems and advanced materials, will further enhance the feasibility and appeal of remanufactured luminaires. Consumer awareness will play a critical role in driving this transition.
